Are redken or kenra products any good?

i use matrix color smart shampoo and biosilk conditioner. they are both weighing down my hair too much my hair is bone dry and stringy with split ends. i tried basically every professioanl product on the wall, except kenra or redken. are they any good? and if they suck, what are your suggestions for products/tips???? thanks.

Are redken or kenra products any good?
I've had great luck with Kenra, I love it!

If your hair is dry even after using a conditioner, try a leave-in conditioner, unless your hair is fine - then that will weigh it down too much. Kenra has a Daily Provision leave in that is really lightweight. I really love it!

Hope that helps! :)
Reply:Redken NO!!!! I used that and my entire forehead broke out.
Reply:Maybe they arent weighing down your hair you need to clarify your hair once a week which strips all the build-up from products on the hair. DOnt go buy a special shampoo, just add 1/8 tsp baking soda to your present shampoo, rinse and then use a good moisturizing conditioner-leave it in for 20 minutes and rinse. Leave your hair alone for the rest of the day. I always do this on a Sunday when I tend to stay home more. Then like Wednesday use a protein-K pak from Joico is the best. Follow the same procedure baking soda w/ shampoo, then k-pak for 10 minutes. Rinse. Try not to leave a bunch of products in your hair, esp. any silkers or things to make your hair shiny-they tend to build up really fast. If this doesnt work, take a look at other things in your life-how are you eating? Taking vitamins? Lots of things can affect your hair-tanning in a taning bed, being outside-these are big contributors to dry hair. Good luck
Reply:i hear what your saying, it feels like ive tried almost every salon brand products and NOTHING works. i have problems with aplit ends as well and find that very moisturizing conditioner help alot, from the drugstore i like aussie three minute deeeeep and from the salon i like redken all soft shampoo and heavy cream (i found that the conditioner didnt work for me) and also biolage ultra hydrating balm. ivenever tryed kenra though. also try not washing your hair so much, if its dry 2-3 times a week would be good. good luck!
Reply:I personally LOVE Redken's Color Extend line--when used properly, that is. (that's to the girl who said Redken made her break out--why are you putting hair products on your face?)

Anyway, I've been highlighting my hair regularly for almost 3 years now and Redken is all I'll use. Its helped to keep my hair shiny, smooth, and manageable despite all I've done to it--lol :) On an everyday basis, all I need to use is the shampoo and condtioner. For styling, I use Redken's leave-in conditioner called "Plump Treat". It adds body and shine without weighing my hair down. I've never had a problem with their shampoos weighing down my hair, either.

Hope I helped :)
Reply:Redken shampoo has a reputation for being very gentle. I don't know anything about their other products, but Redken shampoo is good for cleaning damaged hair
