Dry hair and product problems...?

I have very dry hair. It feels like straw all the time. It seems like I have tried everything from Pantene to Biosilk to John Freida and no products seem to make a difference. I don't wash my hair everyday, I only blow dry or straighten a couple times a week, so I don't see how my hair can be so dry all the time. It is always breaking off and the ends split super easily. I trim it regularly, but the split ends just keep splitting. When it's wet, it looks like a rats nest of tangles. What am I doing wrong? What products REALLY work for super dry hair? What are the best shampoos and leave in treatments? Are there any home treatments/remedies that work for dry hair?.....I need something that I will notice a change with. I'm sick of spending money on products that don't work. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

How come you are not going to a hairdresser? Obviously, doing it yourself is not only NOT working, but you are making it worse.
Reply:Please forget about panthene and biosilk and those market normal shampoo, try professional shampoo. which would definitely make adifferent. In im opinion, you could try bonacure repair shampoo and its treatment, and using bc moisture leave in condiiotner spray, which would definitely help you to improve your condition, however, this might take some time to see the whole effect, since you ahd use those "shampoo" had been long time.... surf the web www.kcareshop.com which sell pro hair care products in lowest price in the world........
Reply:I think you're supposed to wash you're hair everyday... I think you can use some conditioner after the shampoo and don't blow dry. Not sure though. Just a suggestion
Reply:Maybe you have hard water? A water conditioner makes a huge difference.

I use Tigi Catwalk Honey %26amp; Oatmeal Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner and really like it.

A drugstore brand I like which is sulfate-free is Paves and you can get it at Walgreens - it gives the hair great shine! I don't like their conditioner, however, it's a bit too heavy for me.

Some people swear by Joico K-pak, for deep conditioning. That I think you can get various places.
