Can shampoo/conditioner cause back acne?

i feel as though every time i use a moisturizing shampoo/conditioner i get acne on my back, and i have never had this before last year


i don't know if there's a connection but it happened at the time i used L'Oreal Vive and now Infusium Moisturology


is there something in the shampoo that may cause it (I have long hair)


it just doesn't make much sense because i use Biosilk (an oily serum), and i have been using it for quite some time so i know that's not the cause.

Yes, depending on the ingredients in them. I have the same problem with certain brands and have to be very careful with what I use due to sensitive skin. Try switching to a previous type that you didn't have a problem with.

When you use it take a lufa to your back and scrub with soap to make sure you get off any residue -





If it only happens when you do this - discontinue the shampoo/conditioner - you have a reaction to it - (if the above won't help).
Reply:It does sound like you're allergic. Just try using a different shampoo for a few weeks and see if it clears up.
